Boy Meets Girl
Frank and Lauren’s paths first crossed sometime in 2014, though their clearest memory of each other dates to the summer of 2015 at The Foundation Live Event in Cancun. Picture this: Lauren, in full event-manager mode, darting around to keep everything in line, while Frank—chilling with Cat and Nikki—calls out a rousing, “Heyyyy! Lauren Andrews!” With little time to spare, Lauren shoots back, “Ahh hi, sorry, emergency!” as she races off. What a meet cute.
Just three months later, destiny (and a well-timed suggestion from Lauren’s boss) brought them together again—this time in a Zoom call at a Starbucks in Longmont, Colorado. Frank was tapped to run the company’s podcast and sales team, and in that call with Lauren and Andy, a deal was sealed. Fast-forward through a couple of company retreats to an offsite in Silverthorn, Colorado, and a genuine friendship had begun to form.
Over the years, their long-distance camaraderie blossomed into a close-knit circle of friends, united by internet ventures and sporadic meet-ups at conferences and hangouts. Then, in February 2019, fate nudged them closer when Frank was invited to speak at an event Lauren was running. That year, whispers started: “Is there something more than just friendship going on here?” It took most of the year, but eventually both realized that maybe, just maybe, there was something deeper between them.
On December 1, 2019, Frank, ever the instigator, hatched a playful idea. During a two-hour flight layover near the spot where Lauren was taking a dance class, he decided to see if they’d match on Tinder. In true millennial fashion, they swiped right and soon scheduled their first official date - New Years Eve 2020 in the heart of Chicago.
And that’s where the real adventure begins.
Their dating story kicked off with the rescue of a dog from Mexico right in the middle of the pandemic, a bold move that set the tone for what was next. They traded rural Texas for the charm of Illinois’ farm life, crisscrossed the globe to visit friends and family, dove into new business ventures, embraced fresh hobbies, and eventually returned to Texas — where, in 2023 they bought the very house they first called home together.
The journey continues, full of fun twists, and the kind of genuine love that they feel more lucky to cherish with each passing adventure.
